Puppetry-for Film and Televison Workshop, Sydney

Gary Friedman Productions in association with Sydney Film School is presenting a Puppetry-for Film and Television Workshop in June-July.  Book now, as places are limited.

The  workshop, lead by experienced Jim Henson trained puppeteer and TV director, Gary Friedman,  is suitable for puppeteers, performers, film makers and others interested in learning about how puppetry is made for the screen. The course will include design and construction of puppets, manipulation for the camera, developing scenarios for performance, voice, characterization development, and short performances. Participants will develop, perform and direct their short scenarios for the camera, in small groups, which will be filmed and later reviewed.

When:  Wednesdays  6 pm  - 9 pm, 8th June through 27th July, 2005.
Where:  Sydney Film School, 82 Cope St, Waterloo, Sydney
Workshop fee:  $550 for the 8 weeks,  which includes materials and a video CD of puppetry work on completion of the course.
