Call for puppeteer

Naomi Guss has an urgent call for a puppeteer:

An actress is wanted to perform as part of a 2007 Comedy Festival season.

Finding Nirvana is a one-woman puppetry show, and follows the story of a couple who fall in love while skydiving. Produced by Sticky Apple Legs, a young puppetry company, and written by Tom Taylor, winner of Short and Sweet Melbourne

We have a season booked in at the Meeting Room in Trades Hall for the last two weeks of the festival (end of April), and are in need of a puppeteer.

This performance will require singing and physically demanding blocking; no experience in puppetry is needed, but an interest in it is expected. We are mainly looking for an actress who has strong performance skills, who can pick things up quickly, and is comfortable with being the sole performer.

This position needs to be filled quickly, as a lot of rehearsal will be required between now and April.

This performance is profit-share; the show is designed to be tour-able, and it is hoped that it will do so in the future.

To apply, please send your CV to naomi@thepromptcopy.com.  Closing date: 23rd Dec 2006.
