What do volunteers do at the festival?
A myriad of jobs! Volunteers are an essential part of any festival. We simply cannot do without you!
For UNIMA 2008, volunteers will need to be hands-on and on-the-go. We have positions for the artistic -arranging and displaying our million puppet project; for the administrative – looking after our registration and information counter; and for those who love to be in the thick of things! a million (literally) things to do on carnival day! We also need translators, guides and runners and you can even volunteer by offering your spare room for artists or fellow volunteers flying in for the event.

What do volunteers get in return?
Lots of freebies! As well as entry into the exclusive Transit Entertainment Lounge – a chill place to hang, meet artists and fellow volunteers, and watch tons of shows! You also get a special invite to the premiere night of Festival Club on the 1st of April! A great way to kick-start the entire festival.

Who can volunteer?
We are looking for enthusiastic people with a great attitude and commitment to getting a job done. A sense of humour, ready smile and a love of puppets will also prove handy!

What job will I get to do?
We want you to get the most out of this experience and will endeavour to put you in the best job possible in regard to your skill and interest. It is my hope that everyone will be happy with their volunteer position and that we will all emerge with a sense of achievement and satisfaction and a few new friends!
